Carnival Magic isn’t just a light show — it’s a record-breaker. The park, which opened in Kamala in 2022 as Thailand’s first Thai cultural carnival park, holds nine Guinness World Records™ titles for the sheer scale of its structures and illuminations:

• World’s longest single-chassis parade float
• Most lights used in a permanent light-and-sound show

Set across more than 40 acres and lit by around 40 million lights, these record-holding attractions anchor the park’s “Magical Kingdom of Lights” theme.

What to Expect on the Night

An evening at Carnival Magic breaks into a few distinct experiences, so it’s easy to build your night around them:

• Fun Fair & carnival grounds — costumed performers, games and photo spots throughout the park.
• “Bird of Paradise” buffet dinner — an international and Thai buffet served from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (on buffet-inclusive tickets).
• “River Carnival” parade show — the headline 50-minute spectacle at the River Palace paradium, staged at 9:00 pm (gate opens 8:00 pm). On selected pre-announced dates an extra 6:30 pm show is added.
• “Kingdom of Lights” — the walk-through illumination park, which opens after the main parade ends.

Which Ticket Should You Choose?

All admission tickets include the River Carnival parade and the Kingdom of Lights. The main choices are your seat type (Normal or the centrally located Royal Seat, which offers the best parade view), whether to add the buffet dinner, and whether to add return hotel transfers.

Infants under 100 cm enter free but are not allocated a seat in the paradium. Return transfers are also available from Khao Lak. Most tickets can be cancelled before 6:30 am the day before for a full refund — see our Terms & Conditions for details.

Getting There & Transfers

Carnival Magic is on Kamala Beach, next to Phuket FantaSea. There’s no convenient public transport in the evening, so the easiest options are a private taxi, a Grab, or a return transfer added to your ticket — 450 THB per person from Phuket hotels, or 800 THB per person from Khao Lak.

Tips for Your Visit

1. Arrive early (around 5:30–6:00 pm) to enjoy the Fun Fair and dinner before the 9:00 pm parade.
2. Choose the Royal Seat if the parade is your priority — it’s centrally located for the best view.
3. Bring a camera and some cash for games and souvenirs; the light displays are made for photos.
4. Indoor and evening areas can feel cool — a light layer is handy.
5. Booking the buffet + transfer package is the most hassle-free way to do the full evening in one go.
