Know exactly what you’re paying for — and what you’ll still need cash for.
What is included in a phi phi island speedboat tour? A complete tour normally includes round-trip hotel transfers, the speedboat with life jackets and an English-speaking guide, snorkelling equipment, a buffet lunch on Phi Phi Don, drinking water and fruit, and — on most complete tours — the national-park fee of around 400 THB. Accommodation, alcoholic drinks and optional watersports are not included.
The standard inclusions
What almost every complete tour covers
A complete Phi Phi speedboat tour is designed so you can turn up with a towel and swimwear and have the rest handled. The core inclusions are consistent across reputable operators, and understanding them helps you compare quotes fairly — because the cheapest headline price is often the one that has quietly removed something from this list.
- Round-trip hotel transfers within standard pickup zones
- The speedboat, with life jackets provided
- An English-speaking guide
- Snorkelling equipment (mask and, usually, a life vest)
- Buffet lunch at a beachfront restaurant on Phi Phi Don
- Drinking water and seasonal fruit
- National-park entrance fee (on most complete tours)
- Insurance, per the operator’s policy
The national park fee
The one to check carefully
This is where tours differ most. Phi Phi Leh sits inside a national park, so a fee of about 400 THB per adult and 200 THB per child applies for foreign visitors, with a lower rate for Thai nationals. Many complete tours fold it into the price; some budget tours exclude it and collect cash on the day, which makes their headline price look lower than it really is. See the Department of National Parks.
How to avoid the surprise
Ask a single question when booking: is the national-park fee included in the quoted price? If the answer is no, add roughly 400 THB per adult to compare tours on equal terms. Our Phi Phi price guide breaks the numbers down further.
What’s included vs what costs extra
| Usually included | Usually extra |

| Snorkelling mask | Fins, wetsuit or underwater camera hire |

| Drinking water and fruit | Soft drinks beyond those provided |
| Park fee (most complete tours) | Park fee (some budget tours, paid on the day) |
| Insurance per operator policy | Tips, souvenirs, watersports |
The lunch, in detail
Lunch is typically a Thai buffet at a beachfront restaurant in the Tonsai Bay area of Phi Phi Don, served around midday between the morning stops at Phi Phi Leh and the afternoon at Khai Island. Expect familiar Thai dishes — fried rice, noodles, curries, stir-fried vegetables and fresh fruit — with vegetarian options usually available on request. Tell your operator about allergies or dietary needs when you book. Our speedboat tour with lunch guide covers this in depth.
Transfers and pickup zones
What ‘standard zone’ means
Round-trip transfers are included from the main tourist areas — Patong, Kata, Karon, Phuket Town, Chalong, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao, Rawai and Nai Harn among them. Hotels further out, such as those around Mai Khao, Nai Yang or Layan, may carry a small surcharge because of the extra driving distance. Give your hotel name at booking so this is settled up front rather than on the morning of the trip.
What’s genuinely not included
The exclusions to plan for
- Accommodation — day tours are day tours
- Alcoholic drinks — water and fruit are included, alcohol isn’t
- Optional watersports — parasailing, banana boat, clear kayak and similar
- Equipment hire — fins, wetsuits, underwater cameras
- Tips and souvenirs — discretionary
- Travel insurance — the operator’s cover is not personal travel insurance
Bring some cash for the extras and anything not pre-paid; not every vendor on the islands takes cards.

Questions to ask before booking
Five questions that settle it
Five questions settle almost everything:
- Is the national-park fee included in this price?
- Is my hotel inside the standard transfer zone?
- Is lunch included, and can you cater to my dietary needs?
- What snorkelling gear is provided, and what costs extra?
- What happens if the sea is too rough on my date?
Booking with a TAT-licensed operator (License No. 34/02294) means those answers come in writing. View the Phi Phi and Khai Island tour or ask our team.

Plan with confidence
Phi Phi trips involve sea travel and adventure activities, and itineraries can change with tides, weather and national-park conditions. Departures may be adjusted or rescheduled when the sea is rough. For a smoother experience, book with a TAT-licensed operator (License No. 34/02294), choose an early departure, and confirm current prices, inclusions and availability at the time of booking. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and follow ranger guidance inside the national park.
